Galapagos Island  animals and plants are unique in the world because they  adapted well only in this Archipelago and nowhere else in the earth.

Here are some unique Galapagos Animals and Plants:

Galapagos marine iguana is the most unusual. They are the only sea-going lizards in the world. Galapagos island is home to land iguanas and marine iguanas.

Galapagos penguins has a thinner black band  and smaller than Magellanic penguins. They are the smallest penguins in the world.

Galapagos giant tortoises gave the name to these beautiful islands.  They can live for more Galapagos Island Animals and Plantsthan 100 years and the weight is about 500 pounds.

Galapagos island is home to sharks, rays, fur seals, sea lions, whales, dolphins, starfish and more.

There are more than 19 species of birds reside in the Galapagos island. Blue footed booby population are 1/3 of the world in the Galapagos island. The highest concentration  is Masked Boobies and the largest colony are Red footed boobies.
Galapagos plants are the greatest examples of island evolutionary of biology. It started with seeds carried by the winds. There are more than 560 species of plants in Galapagos islands. The one-third part are unique to the island.

You can find giant prickly pear cactus, cherry-like tomatoes, or the daisy family that locally grew into 17 different species.

The plant in Galapagos is the botanical magic that is crucial for all living things to be survived here.
The unique wildlife characteristic in Galapagos islands is a result of the isolation of South America continents.
