The Highest Swimming Pool

The sun was barely rising. The air is still a bit cold but the 150-meter swimming pool or three times the size of Olympic swimming began crowded.

Though the most visitors do not swim, but they are busy preening in front of the camera or simply enjoy the 360 degree panorama of the city of the lion country.

However, opportunity to swim in the highest swimming  pool in the world is  unfortunately to pass.

The swimming pool is located on the 55th floor at Marina Bay Sands resort that has 2,500 rooms.

The resort is the most expensive in the world, built at a cost reached 5.7 billion U.S. dollars, it has been open since 2010.

The highest swimming pool is the main attraction of this hotel, located at the top of three hotel towers that is 200 meters altitude. The top is called the Sands Skypark, much like  a cruise ship.

The pool itself is at the edges, giving the effect of direct water flowing down to the building. It looks dangerous to swim in this pool, whereas at the edge of the pool, there is still a floor to accommodate the fall of the water pool.

The highest swimming pool has two circulatory systems.

The first function like a general pool, filter and heat the water in the main pool. The second function is filtering  water in ponds and running it back to the main pool.


The highest  swimming pool is divided into three parts, the children’s pool, family pool and a pool for adults. On the right side, there are rows of chaise lounge for those who want to sunbathe or enjoy a panoramic view of skyscrapers.

Although  located on the rooftop, but the Skypark area is quite shady as it comes with a garden. There are a  number of trees in this Skypark of 250 rods and 650 rods of smaller plants. So, you do not have to worry about overheating.

By paying about 20 Singapore dollars, you can relax in the pool area or the tower of view. There  are   also restaurants and entertainment venues.
